Outstanding Cycling and Hiking Trip We did the combined cycling and hiking trip for 6 days. The routes were spectacular, the hotels were delightful and Daniel's 24/7 availability made us feel safe and secure. This was one of our best trips ever. Highly recommended!

An Excellent Cycling Tour Our family bike tour with Daniel and Creative Catalonia (their Medieval Villages 5-day tour) was one of our family's favorite travel experiences. The routes were well planned and easy to follow, the hotels were excellent, the scenery was beautiful, the luggage transfers went off without a hitch and Daniel himself was always available to help answer questions or offer help if we needed it.
While our family cycles quite a bit, this was our first multi-day bike tour, and I did quite a bit of research ahead of time. We picked Creative Catalonia because the company's guests consistently seemed effusive about their experiences. Now I know why.
We were traveling as a family of 7, with kids that range in age from 2-14. When I initially reached out to Daniel about booking a tour, he responded by (very nicely) telling us that he thought we were a bit insane for even thinking of taking our gaggle of kids on a bike tour, but if we insisted, he'd do his best.
We insisted, and Daniel and his team arranged everything.
Because we were the company's first bike tour with young kids, there were a couple of challenges setting up and using the equipment we used to tow the youngest kids. But Daniel was right there to help us resolve them as soon as we let him know we had a problem, and I have no doubt that he'll have all the kinks worked out for any future families with young kids.
Every hotel we stayed in was lovely. We booked the "standard" hotel package, and each hotel we stayed in was better than the last.
Our hotel in Girona was well-positioned and pleasant, and made us wish we had more than one night there. Two of our hotels were right on the Mediterranean and felt like we were living in the 2nd season of the White Lotus (minus the intrigue) - and playing on their beaches was a highlight for our kids. Our last night in Hotel la Plaça de Madremanya was absolutely delightful, and (after booking our dinner at the hotel on Daniel's recommendation) delivered one of the best, most memorable meals we've ever had.
Creative Catalonia provided GPS units with the routes preloaded that made navigation easy, as well as links to GPX files we could download to our own Garmin units we brought with us. In both cases the routes were easy to follow, and I think we made one or two wrong turns our entire trip, and went maybe 100-feet off course before realizing we needed to correct.
The routes were probably 60% protected cycling trails, 30% remote country roads with occasional traffic, and 10% somewhat-busy but low-speed roads. The maps we were provided also had good suggestions for coffee and lunch stops, that we took advantage of.
In all, it'd be hard to imaging a better bike tour experience. The fact that Daniel was able to organize such a good trip for a us on his first-time with a family like ours speaks to his expertise, and I have no doubt he'd be able to accommodate just about any group, with just about any preferences.

Beautiful bike trip around the medieval villages of the Costa Brava. Daniel & Lucy were wonderful. The briefing meeting by Lucy was very informative with lots of suggestions. The GPS was helpful but we sometimes got lost because there are so many bike trails intercrossing. The GPS does reroute you & has stops of interest & restaurant recommendations & coffee breaks along the way. It also provides warnings for road crossings & rough terrain. Lucy & Daniel were very quick to respond when we had questions. The bikes were very well maintained. The area was so beautiful! The hotels were perfect with city, country & ocean views. Great variety. Awesome restaurants in this area. We used an e-bike & would highly recommend if you aren't in bike shape.

Excellent tour for those who want to hear about life and customs of Crete. This Spiridon tour was excellent and gave fascinating insight into life on Crete. Spiros, our tour guide and driver told us things you would never hear in a guide book about real life on Crete, its customs and traditions. After sampling Cretan food we saw the products made by the owner of the taverna and his wife. Spiros even took his boogie box and showed us Greek (Zorba) dancing, inviting us to join in which we did! This trip was excellent-made more so by our guide Spiros. Strongly recommended!

Lovely Costa Brava Experience Well planned itinerary passing beautiful vistas and interesting historical sites. I loved getting a paper map with the routes highlighted along with the excellent GPS - the map also shows all the biking networks/roads and we used it two days to do little add-ons/detours in our day. Daniel does a fabulous job orienting you and makes you feel that there is always support for logistic questions or if any emergency might happen, which is very comforting :-). We would definitely use Creative Catalonia again.

First Class Operation in all respects All the 5 star reviews are fully warranted, and mirror the experience my wife and I had for the 9 day Best of Catalonia self guided tour. The bikes were excellent. Daniel knows the area like the back of his hand, and was very responsive both before and during the tour. The route was excellent. The GPS worked well. The accommodations wonderful, etc, etc. We've done over 15 tours including self directed/self supported, guided, and self-guided. This first time tour with Creative Catalonia ranks at the top. We hope to do more the Creative Catalonia in the future. Very highly recommended!

It was our first cycling tour of any kind and we were 100% blown away by the entire experience. Daniel's expert planning, kindness and forethought is first-class. Despite most of our ride being in the cold and pouring rain, we did NOT want it to end!
Hotels all brilliant, and of course the rides themselves are a treat with stunning scenery throughout, but we will remember the care and service we received from Creative Catalonia most of all. Do not hesitate!

The Best Of Catalonia Cycling Tour The Best Of Catalonia Cycling Tour was everything my wife and I had hoped for. Beautiful scenery, history, and great food. Of the bike trips we have taken, this trip was the best organized trip we have experienced. Thank you Daniel and Lucy for all of your detailed planning. Our lodging was consistently excellent with great locations, spacious rooms, and great service. Creative Catalonia’s relationships with the hotels and restaurants always made us feel like welcomed guests.

Biking on Costa Brava and medieval towns. We loved the bike tour Daniel put together for us! It combined the Costa Brava beach and towns as well as the countryside with small medieval towns.
Scenery was beautiful and Daniel’s recommendations what to see along the way and where to stop to eat worked so well!
I would absolutely recommend Creative Catalonia if you are planning a trip to Spain!!
