Spend a fantastic week of walking in the
French Catalan Pyrenees. Your accommodation for the week is in the beautiful mountain
town of Font Romeu which is in the heart of some of the best marked walking trails in the Pyrenees.
The French Catalan Pyrenees covers a range from the area
around Prades up to Andorra and ranges from 300 metres to 3000 metres above
sea level. It offers an enormous diversity of trails, landscapes as well as
flora and fauna. This area of France is also blessed with over 300 sunny
days a year, making it very enjoyable walking country.

Walking routes
The Font Romeu area is a Walker's paradise with many
trails to chose from to suit all levels. There are over 30 well marked walks
that range from a short stroll all the way through to a full day out in the
mountains. Another great benefit of the walks are that many of them can
easily be linked up so that you can literally walk for days on end!

Transfers
Creative Catalonia will transfer you from Girona
airport, bus
or train station to your chosen accommodation and return at the end of your
stay. We also offer a transfer service to Barcelona airport, if required.
Accommodation
Staying at
the charming 'Les Ramiers' Gite guesthouse on a self-catering
basis. Les Ramiers is a beautiful traditional mountain lodge, converted into
self-catering accommodation. It is perfectly located for all of the trails
which can be accessed right from the front door. Additionally, it is only a
couple of kilometres to the town of Font Romeu for shopping, restaurants,
cafe's etc...

Another
option is to stay at the centrally located and recently renovated 'Hotel
de la Poste' in Font Romeu. The accommodation is on a Bed & Breakfast
basis and the hotel is located in the heart of the town making trips out for shopping,
restaurants and cafe's a breeze. The walking trails can easily be accessed
within a few minutes from the front door of the hotel.
