Day 1
Girona Warm up ride - 40 km
A fantastic way to warm up and
get accustomed to the un-crowded and beautiful
riding that the Girona area offers. The ride is
about 40 km in length and offers the opportunity to
experience some of the beautiful and tranquil Girona
countryside as you cycle along.

Day 2
Girona loop - 100 km
This is one of the great Girona
road rides with some of the most spectacular scenery
on offer in the whole of the Girona area. There is
plenty of time to set your rhythm with some quality
climbing and buzzing descents that just seem to go
on and on. This ride will clearly explain why so
many professional riders choose Girona as their
winter training base!

Day 3
Girona to the Mediterranean Sea - 70 km
Today we leave Girona heading for
the coast. We cycle through the rolling Girona
countryside before heading towards the coast for our
first good climb up and over the coastal L’Ardenya
range. Once at the coast we join the famous Tossa de
Mar road that was part of the '2009 Tour de
France' stage from Girona to Barcelona. We
follow the beautiful coastal road as it hugs the sea
towards Sant Feliu de Guixols where we are based for
the next two nights.

Day 4
Les Gavarres loop 1 - 100 km
We spend the majority of this
ride cycling through the Pine and Cork forest of the
'Les Gavarres" protected area. We cross over the
‘Les Gavarres’ range twice before making our way ‘up
and over’ the L’Ardenya coastal mountain range back
towards the sea. We fly along the stunning coastal
road before returning to our hotel for a well earned
rest.

Day 5
Medieval Villages - 70 km
Today we head out on a beautiful
and more relaxing ride that takes us through the
plains of the Baix Emporda, stopping off at the
timeless medieval villages that are dotted
throughout this area. We then make our way to our
final beautifully restored 4 star hotel in one of
the most charming medieval villages of the area.

Day 6
Les Gavarres loop 2 – 70 km
We finish our week of riding
heading up and over the ‘Els Angels’ mountain,
enjoying the stunning views of the Pyrenees all the
way to the Mediterranean Sea. We then enjoy one of
the best descents of the week into Girona for a
quick coffee before heading out into the countryside
again. We have one last climb up and over the ‘Les
Gavarres’ mountain range before returning to our
luxury hotel to put our feet up for a well earned
drink!

This is a week of road riding that you will want to repeat over and over again and perhaps look for some new routes on your next visit. With the
climate of the Baix Emporda so suited for cycling you really can enjoy this tour at any time of year.
