Our second trip with Daniel,
previously had a guided mountain bike trip in July heat.
This time we did a low key self guided trip for three
days tied in to a long weekend skiing at the end
(courtesy of Easy jet). Great trip again. Daniel
prepared a three day version of the trip taking us from
Girona to St Feliu on the coast via the Carrilet and the
excellent Font Picant restaurant near St Cristina d'Aro,
then on the coast to Llafranch before the final day
across the plains between various walled villages to
Monells.120km in total. Maps, guidance, bikes, hotels,
luggage and backup all provided to the level we have
come to expect of Daniel.
Hotels were quiet but interesting and sea views amazing.
We have done long distance routes in the UK and although
not as onerous as the lake district parts of C2C in
England this provided enough of a challenge for what we
wanted. We were driven back to Girona station on the
last day with huge smiles on our faces and definite
plans to return again.

I enjoyed my walking tour and felt
that it had a good variety of urban and rural, as well
as variation of the walking terrain. The accommodations
for early March (as a single traveler) were good but my
favorite place to stay was in Llafranch at Hotel
Llafranch.

Our family of four with two teens
went with Creative Catalonia for our first-ever cycling
vacation in early November. We're occasional cyclists.
After a fair number of helpful and responsive emails
with Daniel (who runs Creative Catalonia), we decided on
the 5D/4N Medieval Villages package. The route took us
through the suburbs, farmland, forest, the beautiful
coastline, and the picturesque villages of the Baix
Emporda. We were blessed with gloriously sunny and
comfortable weather through the three days of cycling.
We're very glad we chose to have a 'guide' - Daniel
himself. This completely took away the stress of
navigating through the countryside and dealing with the
logistics of travel (and several punctured tires).
Both adults and teens enjoyed his
knowledgeable commentary and great company. We also had
delicious Spanish food together during our lunches,
including a picnic at a beautiful spot on the coast.
Accommodation was in cosy hotels, some of which had
great views and good restaurants obviously popular with
the locals! We couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable
and well-organised vacation.

This was our first cycling holiday where we relied on an outfitter to make all the arrangements as well as our first cycle trip in Spain. We were very pleased with the trip designed by Creative Catalonia, the gear provided and their service. We would recommended them for anyone considering a biking or walking tour in Catalonia.

We had a brilliant time, Daniel was helpful and available - both beforehand by email, at our initial meeting, and throughout the trip. The hotels were well chosen, and each had nice characteristics. We never felt disappointed. The route is fun, and scenic, and there were plenty of options for us. Daniel also helped us create an extended trip (combining two regular trips into an 8-day package) that worked very well for us.

During our stay at Creative Catalonia nothing was too much trouble. I didn't feel smothered but if there was anything we required it was sorted ASAP.
The trails are varied and on your door step. This is very advantageous as you can start and finish your day when you want.
Guides are available for all levels from XC racer to the steady Eddie.
Highly recommended.

What makes Creative Catalonia so special is the fact that it is a company run by Daniel Herzberg and his wife Lucy whose passion for what they do is ever present in their attention to detail and their intimate knowledge of the area they are exposing to you.
Everything they promise in your initial contact with them is delivered and even more. We were greeted every day with yet another unexpected surprise from them, whether it be champagne, sweets and even a Jacuzzi on the terrace at one of our beautiful accommodations.
We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and Daniel provided us with a lifetime memory that we will cherish in our rocking day years.
We are still in awe about the trip!

A tailor made holiday that Daniel was able to adapt throughout as he saw our capabilities. Everything you told us in advance was spot on in terms of the experience on the ground. A great mountain biking experience.

I can honestly say that my 5 days in Catalonia were the most enjoyable I've had for years (decades, even!).
I had more fun on a bike than is strictly legal. I also got in some fantastic training. The long climbs, especially to St. Grau and Els Angels, were tremendous - and the swooping, curvy descents were even better. The coast road to Tossa de Mar was the most amazing introduction to cycling in Spain imaginable.
Do I sound impressed? You betcha.

All and all it was a wonderful experience. Daniel was very accommodating and patient with our many questions and made sure that we were enjoying ourselves.

Great maps were provided and we took our time to enjoy the riding as the distances were manageable between stop-overs. The best things were; the people, everyone was so friendly and helpful. The scenery was beautiful and a real variety. The other cyclists were always keen to chat and lastly, knowing that the accommodation was waiting and was of good quality.
We would recommend Creative Catalonia because of the personal touches and the simplicity of its operation.

We had a tremendous experience with Creative Catalonia. The attention to detail and planning before the trip was excellent, with prompt replies to our many emails.

The hotels are very well situated - even Ripoll. The hotel La Perla in Olot needs a special mention for their helpfulness and cuisine. It was a pleasure meeting all of the family. Thanks for a great holiday.
