Cycling Holiday Definitions

What is included in our cycling and walking holidays

• Accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis

• Luggage transfers between hotels (point to point tours)

• Bike hire for the duration of the cycling holiday - please ask about our upgrade options

• Detailed maps and route notes of the cycling routes

• Emergency back up if required

• Return transfer to Girona or Sant Feliu de Guixols at the end of the holiday

Self-guided holidays

• A welcome briefing is given on the first cycling day of the holiday giving an overview of the tour. There is ample opportunity to ask questions about the holiday during and after the briefing.

• Clients use the detailed maps and route notes to cycle or walk unguided from hotel to hotel on 'point to point' holidays or out and back from the base hotel on circular routes on a 'single base' holiday.

Private guided holidays

• A welcome briefing is given on the first cycling day of the holiday giving an overview of the tour. There is ample opportunity to ask questions about the holiday during and after the briefing.

• An expert and experienced Private guide will accompany your group for the duration of the holiday, pointing out places of interest along the way and leaving you free to not have to worry about any of the navigating.

'Point to Point' holidays

• Clients cycle or walk along a linear route over several days from a starting point to a finishing point.

• Most of our 'point to point' holidays include a second night in one or two of the hotels along the route to further explore the area.

'Single base' holidays

• Clients are based in one hotel for the duration of the holiday and cycle or walk on routes that start and finish at the hotel. Occasionally, transport will be provided for additional routes.
