Catalonia is blessed with great year round weather for
many sports (see our
climate
chart) and has a highly organised and competitive annual sporting
calendar. Why not book your holiday to coincide with a sporting event and
then spend the week training with Creative Catalonia before putting
yourself to the test on the weekend.
Whatever sport you are interested in doing on your
holiday in Catalonia, Spain let Creative Catalonia organise your
accommodation, transfers, entries and anything else that you may need to
get the most out of your holiday here.
Running
The Barcelona Marathon is flat, fast and
scenic. The wholly-urban course starts and finishes on the Avenida Maria
Cristina in front of the Magic Fountain and offers a tour of La Rambla and
almost all the other sights of Barcelona. Plus there are trophies for all
finishers.
If you're in Barcelona in May you can join 60,000 other
runners in the Cursa del Corte Ingles. Like its 12-K U.S. cousins (Bloomsday
and Bay to Breakers, both also held in May), this 12-K race is one of the
world's largest running events. It starts and finishes at the Placa de
Catalunya and goes through the Estadi Olimpic.
Other big races are: The Nike Firefighters 10-K (April) which attracts
about 5,000 runners, while the Cursa de la Merce Half-Marathon and 5-K
(September) are part of the city's annual 4-day, wine-and-cheese festival.

Duathlons & Triathlons
Catalonia has a very active
competition scene for both Duathlons and Triathlons throughout most of
the year. Creative Catalonia is your perfect choice to organise a week
of training before the event to make sure that you are in perfect shape.

For year round training facilities we
highly recommend the 'La Corxera' sports centre in Sant
