	Spring time - bike time! Spring 2009 has been, without doubt, our busiest period to date – hardly a week went by without having groups out enjoying the best of Catalonia’s great riding. The weather was great for pretty much everyone which really helped to enjoy the riding even more. 	Medieval Villages Tour Our Medieval Villages cycling tour has become one of our most popular routes this year. It combines such a great amount of variety in such relatively short distances. Starting off in the fascinating city of Girona you then cycle to the Mediterranean Sea along the “Carrilet” – which is part of the ‘Vias Verdes’ route (disused railway lines that now serve as dual use cycle and walk ways). A couple of days are spent exploring the jewels along the coast before heading inland to explore the timeless and beautiful Medieval Villages of the Baix Emporda region. It is a truly magical ride that you will never forget. ......
	Tour de France The Tour de France is visiting Girona in 2009! On Thursday 9^th of July stage 6 - Girona to Barcelona 175 km will be held. If you want to get in some incredible road-riding before or after seeing the tour book yourself into our ‘A week of stunning road riding’ tour and ride the routes that the Pro’s train! ‘A week of stunning road riding’ ......
	Ibiza tours We are in discussions with tour operators based on the famous Balearic Island of Ibiza. Ibiza has become a hotspot for Mountain Biking within Spain with a very well developed network of marked trails that criss-cross the island. Lucy and I spent three unforgettable years living on Ibiza and the chance to offer cycling tours there is a dream come true for us. Watch this space for more news about Ibiza cycling tours! ......
	Vias Verdes - ‘Greenways’ In addition to our well known ‘Pyrenees to the Mediterranean’ Vias Verde route known as the ‘Carrilet’, the regional council have developed another shorter ‘Carrilet’ known as ‘El Petit Tren’. The route connects Palamos to Palafrugell with a lovely detour to the beautiful beach of Platja Castell. It is a short route and is part of our “Medieval Villages” cycling tour. .....
	As we roll into summer in Catalonia the days are now much longer and are full of sunshine. We are out on the bikes everyday enjoying to the maximum the great riding that is on offer here. We will be heading up to the French Pyrenees in August for some brilliant mountain biking and walking on the marked trails in the Font Romeu area. Hopefully we’ll see you up there as well! Keep pedalling and trekking and remember that the best way to deal with the Global Financial Crisis is to: *Get On Your Bike!
